- Brain Tumors
- SYMPTOMS. Due to the many types of tumors that may occur in the various
- areas of the brain, the symptoms are highly variable. There may be weakness
- in the arm or leg muscles, slow, progressive disturbances in sight,
- convulsive seizures, headache, drowsiness, personality changes, mental
- impairment, vomiting, lethargy and disordered conduct.
- CAUSES. The causes are not known at this time. They are most common in the
- early adult or middle aged but they may occur at any age.
- TREATMENT. Consult your doctor immediately at the slightest hint of a tumor.
- .Brain tumors are not always hopeless. More than a third are not cancerous.
- .Many malignant tumors are successfully treated.
- .Due to advances in surgical techniques, removal is increasingly possible.
